Christophe Conan was born in Guérande (South Brittany) in 1966. He has been working and living in Bordeaux since 2005. He started his early explorations with drawing and classical painting and the use of pencil, which he still enjoys incorporating into his works.
After studying at the Fine Arts School in Aix - en - Provence, he set about to experiment on technique, embarking on artistic adventures and existentialist issues, broaching triptychs, portraits. He is now working on assembling painting and discarded metal.
In his search for humanism, Christophe Conan intends to deal with Man and his environment. Through an entirely unique observation of nature, he dissects diversity, repetition, the mutation of species. He shares his views on evolution and is concerned about the way the man in our times adapts and perceives his environment.
